Have you considered starting to compile information for your family's genealogy but aren't sure how to organize it all? There are many good programs out there...and several are free. Some are free just to start...don't get those...unless you just like feeling the agony of all your work wasted, of course! =)

They're my favorite...but anything you become familiar with becomes your favorite. I looked around on the web before I finally settled on this one. To quote a favorite line from the movie, The Candidate, "If you know how to Google, it's worth a Google." Haha! Try "free genealogy software" to see what's available these days. Actually, I just did this and you'll really like the first page I pulled out of the list:

If you have already started collecting your family info, you'll want to start putting it into the software as quickly as possible. It can be quite time consuming if you have a lot of names to add at once. If you're like me, you won't mind it but you might be excited to move on so I'm just warning you...
